Holistic Care - Spiritual Direction
We at F.A.I.R. Haven Holistic Care want you to be in physical, mental, and spiritual health where you prosper in spirit, soul, and body. Part of the journey may include the need for Spiritual Direction. Spiritual Direction is a relational process in which a trained spiritual guide companions someone who desires a deeper relationship with God. The task of the spiritual director is to listen to the person’s story, discern the Holy Spirit, and encourage spiritual growth. Spiritual direction is not counseling, friendship, mentoring, teaching, or discipling. It is a commitment to discover what God is doing in a person’s life and help them come closer to Christ. Healing of the spirit leads to healing of the soul and can lead to healing of the body.
Anxiety & Depression
Uncontrolled emotions of fear, guilt, shame, and despair can interfere with your ability to function in life and maintain relationships. The root of these emotions may be in the spirit, soul, or body. Our holistic approach is using the fundamentals of God's Word will often help to regain a sound mind that is at peace.
Vitamins & Minerals
Quite often the cause of emotional imbalance or disease is the deficiency of certain vitamins and minerals. Part of our approach to holistic care is to identify whether this is the case, and recommend ways to remedy the deficiency.
Nutrition & Exercise
"We are what we eat." Holistic care includes taking care of the physical body, which starts with diet and movement. Keeping both in balance with the body's needs is fundamental for prospering in health. Our approach is to assist you in developing a plan that is nor only doable, but sustainable.
Trauma & Memories
Perhaps the most important aspect of holistic care is helping you to change your thoughts about past hurts, wounds, and offenses. Our approach is to walk with you through forgiveness to a state of repentance and trust as your relationship with God and with others strengthens.
